It’s Mandatory Now

So it happened. I thought the ai hype was peaking a like a year ago. I was hoping for the bubble to burst. I was hoping for people to realize it sucks.

Companies are partnering with ai providers and demanding developers to use them. Unlimited tokens, unlimited code, ai reviews, ai tickets, yolo. Absurd amount of money spent and even more absurd amount is going to be spend. It doesn’t matter what the result of this little experiment is going to be. Some higher-ups made the decision, and it has to pay off. Such a ridiculous expenditure requires justification. People are going to get fired. And infinitely more code is going to get generated.

I really thought the hype cycle can’t keep going for much longer. But getting grip on higher-ups in megacorps could just do it. Individuals might not be able to pay the amount required for ai providers to be profitable. But companies are more than willing to dispose of people and spend even more money if stocks go up.
